- You will need:
French Press/plunger
Scales
Kettle
19g of freshly roasted coffee coarse grind
300ml boiling water
Timer
Mug/server - Step 1
Boil hot water in a kettle, or over the stove, to approximately 100ºC. Tip: Hot water is extremely important element of brewing French Press coffee.
- Step 2
Prepare 19g of filter coffee (coarse grind), and add ground coffee to French press. Then add 300g of boiling water and stir gently to ensure all coffee grounds are saturated. Put the lid on top of the Press and let it brew for 4 minutes.
- Step 3
After four minutes has passed, remove the lid and scoop the layer of brown foam and coffee grounds that are left on the surface of the French Press.
- Step 4
Replace the lid, plunge gently and Bang! You’re done! Pour immediately into cups or preferred server.
Grind tip: If the plunger is hard to push down this is a sign the ground coffee is too fine.
